What is Flaminal® (Hydro)?

Flaminal® (Hydro) is a new hydro-active alginate
gel that:

  1. Maintains a moist wound environment
  2. Continuously debrides the wound
  3. Restores bacterial balance
  4. Is non-cytotoxic
  5. Is hypo-allergenic

It is available in 2 forms:

Flaminal®

designed for medium to heavily exuding wounds and has a high alginate content

indicated for highly exuding ulcers, oncologic wounds, second degree burns, post-operative wounds, pre-operative fibrinous wounds and pressure ulcers

Flaminal® Hydro

designed for more lightly exuding wounds and contains less alginate

dermatosurgery, moderately exuding ulcers, second degree burns and post-operative, moderately exuding wounds

Both are available in 15g tubes

Flaminal® (Hydro) is designed to increase healing rates by reducing the bacterial bio-burden that can be a barrier to healing. It does so without harming keratinocytes or fibroblasts, two of the key cells involved in wound healing.
