How does Flaminal® work?

Flaminal® contains two naturally occurring enzymes, glucose oxidase and
lactoperoxidase.

Flaminal Glucose oxidase converts glucose and oxygen into peroxide ions

Flaminal Lactoperoxidase binds to microbial cell walls and facilitates the convertion
of peroxide ions into reactive oxygen species

This unique mode of action sets Flaminal® apart from other topical antimicrobials by
destroying the microbial cell wall without damaging cells involved in wound
healing.
